In 2026 America will celebrate its 250th anniversary and every state has planned its own celebration. Ohio’s America 250-Ohio Commission has many events planned, including Ohio Goes to the Movies, where communities will host Ohio-centric movie events in all 88 counties from February through October 2026.
What better way for restaurants to join the celebration than by adding a Dinner & a Movie with fun, movie-related content to connect with your community and customers.

Spotlight Ohio-centric movies and the Ohioans involved in making them
- Play Ohio movie music
- Create a themed drink special
- Feature Ohio movie trivia questions or fun facts from the Ohio Movie Database
Offer movie-related discounts
- Offer specials/coupons to movie-goers such as a free dessert or appetizer when they show their ticket/receipt
- Tie-in to offer contest prizes to local media such as dinner for two drawing, etc.
Get in on the celebration by:
